ABSTRACT
As Contract Pharma marks the 25th anniversary of its Contracting & Outsourcing Conference, founding editor Gil Roth offers a “look back, look ahead” perspective on pharma outsourcing and the policy forces now shaping the sector. The session will examine how the sponsor-service provider model has evolved, how government policy is changing the outsourcing equation, and what those shifts could mean for CDMOs, sponsors and the broader pharma supply chain.
BIO
Gil Roth is founder and president of the Pharma & Biopharma Outsourcing Association (PBOA), where he advocates for the regulatory, legislative and business interests of the CMO/CDMO sector. Since launching PBOA in 2014, he has helped organize industry working groups, negotiate user fee programs, educate policymakers and represent the sector before Congress, FDA and other regulatory bodies.
Roth previously helped launch Contract Pharma in 1999 and served as its editor for nearly 15 years, chronicling the growth of the pharma and biopharma outsourcing industry. He also helped build the magazine’s annual Contracting & Outsourcing Conference & Exhibition into a leading event for contract service providers and their clients.
