TITLE
Check Before You Choose: Making CDMO References Calls
SPEAKER
Michael Spangler, Principal Consultant, Spangler Consulting
ABSTRACT
Selecting a CDMO is more than a matter of their capabilities, cost, and timelines. A candidate must not only meet your needs for specialized technical expertise, but they must also fit your work style and Quality culture. Before a Sponsor signs a letter of intent or contract, a CDMO Reference check can reveal how a potential partner actually performed for past customers.
This session will give detail strategies to get the most out of a CDMO Reference check. The audience will be given specific criteria to identify what kinds of References are most valuable to you, the logistics of prepping for a call, and how to hold a focused conversation with the Reference.
Michael will provide several example questions you can ask to uncover useful insights, and how your internal team should assess feedback from the call. The importance of listening for the subjective intangibles is highly stressed. The session offers a framework for using CDMO Reference checks to support better partner-selection decisions and avoid expensive downstream surprises.
